so much thoughts. but can't seem to pen them down.

it's been almost a month since i moved to my new tiny city apartment. will be holding a house-warming next month. where are my guests supposed to sit?! i guess some people will just hafta sit on the floor! oh well, albeit small, it's cosy, secure & nice. 

i can see the fireworks from my unit. but hafta watch from the reflection of the other buildings. :p kinda crap. hahah. my building has a concierge. the guys will sign for all the parcels i receive, which means never hafta rush to the post office to pick my parcels up again! this is so damn cool. oh yeah, and they have the keys to my apartment. i don't hafta worry i will ever lock myself out again. :) we also have a leisure and fitness centre extending over 2 levels. it's surprisingly not crowded, which is good.

although this building has just been completed in late December 2007, many units are already occupied. but i dunno why i don't have any neighbours yet!! previous apartment in maroubra also like tt. now in the city also no neighbour. nobody wants to live near me. -_-

now that bro has also left sydney, this time round, i am really on my own. health wise, not in tip top condition, but working towards a better health. my work is going well. few but close aussie friends kept me sane. parents made sure i am safe & sound on my own in the new apartment. it's my very 1st time in my life that i see my dad do house chores. before i moved, he cleaned my apartment. :) mum did most of my packing & unpacking. on the day of the move, i didn't even hafta apply for leave! parents and bro did  & arranged everything for me. :))

if only i could have a pug now. when can i have pugs? i am so looking forward to having 2 pugs of my own. i can't get even one now. who is gonna look after him when i am at work? very scared he'll go crazy staying alone at home for more than 9hrs. where is he gonna pee & poo? i can't imagine coming home to a crazy pug and an apartment full of pee & poo. yikes! *shudder* what a scary thought.

i like sydney, but nothing beats home. when can/ will i go home?

whenever i start coughing, it always takes ages to recover. it's been 3 long weeks. argh.. and the last few days, it worsen. i'm out of breathe on several occasions. i can't sleep well. i can literally cough my lungs out anytime. cough until wanna puke. :((

seen the gp 3 weeks ago, and that was for the whole package - cough, running nose, fever, headache, backache & fainting spells. the stupid gp didn't prescribe any medication for me. -_- she told me to pop in a couple of panadol for the fever and that's it. if it didn't seem serious, why did she give me 3 days of mc?!

seen another gp this morning. he prescribed some antibiotics. hopefully this works. i'm very tired from all the coughing. i desperately need a good night's sleep.

i am very determined to get two pugs. when? i dunno. but i've thought of names for them. i shall name the boy - bumble, and the girl - cleo. can't wait for the day that i pick them up from the breeder. :))

new environment. new colleagues. new job. new knowledge.

it's been a week since i started work at the new company. i must say it's been a tough week to even get by. information overload!! i feel like a sponge at its maximum - simply can't absorb any more things!

worse part of all: reconciliations and accounting shit is part of my job scope! blardiehell. i know nutz abt it although i major in accounting. i seriously dunno how i managed to pass those nonsense? and now i'm stuck with it at work.

darn.

last day at work today. emos so mixed that i dunno how shld i be feeling!

my big boss is so nice! he is sick for the whole week, and he still makes the effort to call me before i leave today. the team gave me a hugeass farewell card. i love it! and a david jones gift card. hehe. can go on a shopping spree with it and the other 2 myer gift cards i was given a couple of weeks back!

as a little parting gift, i gave everyone in the team each a small box of godiva chocolate. of cos i bought extra for myself as well. keke.

i've tendered my resignation.

oh man, it took me 2 days to type the resignation letter, 3 days to pluck up the courage to call my boss to arrange for a meeting to break the news. btw, i'm on leave this week.

the meeting with her went better than i expected. it went very well actually. she was extremely nice and thoughtful. she was a lil upset initially. but oh well.. great opportunity like this doesn't come knocking on my door all the time! so must grab!

after being here for 18 months, although i bitch alot abt my job and colleagues, i'm gonna miss them heaps!! sigh..

anyhoooo, i am so looking forward to my new job! dream job! :)) dunno how it will turn out, might not be my dream job after all. haha. we'll see. :)

just when i thought my day was crap and ruined, i received a call. a call that i've always been waiting for.

I'VE SECURED MYSELF A JOB IN AN INVESTMENT BANK!!

or rather, it's still a provisional offer. still subject to satisfactory reference from one of my ex-bosses. anyhooo, this is so exciting!!


now.. the part where i dread the most.. how to break this news to my current bosses?!

i placed an order for one of the Miu Miu spring/summer 2007 collection glasses some time in mid-march. but due to a series of unforseen circumstances, they won't be ready till october. that's like 6 freaggin months! -_- apparently it's still in production in Italy. -_- don't know how true that is, but i can't find it anywhere in Sydney/ Singapore. after extensive search, this particular optical store is the only one that wld order it in for me!

because of the loooonngggggg wait, the optometrist decided to let me have a temporary pair of frames in the meantime. initially i thought it wld be a crappy brandless one, but nooooo.. it's a Miu Miu too! hehe. then i also thought it wld just be a temporary thing - once the pair that i've ordered comes in, i'll return this one. but noooo.. they decided to let me have it foc! lens complimentary as well! how good is that?! eh, but then, this pair not very nice one. shiny silver frame, pretty obiang. i didn't get to choose! but the sides are nice. so make do loh.

when i had my eye test done this evening, he offered me a complimentary contact lens fitting too. but i am not interested la. this is what i call great customer service. even w/o all the freebies, their damage control is good enough.

total opposite of some stupid no-frills fine dining coffeeshop style 'restaurant' in Singapore. it has received numerous good reviews and i've read and seen pics of food taken. very deceiving. i ordered the same thing. looked nothing like what i saw in those photos on those reviews. and the service SUX to the core. absolute BAD.

sad to say, generally customer service level in Singapore is pretty mediocre. but of cos there are exceptions also la.

flight bad - turbulence x3 - flight delayed due to heavy air traffic in Sydney airport - detour 1.5hour - sick

i'm heading for the airport after typing this nonsense.

*sigh* time really flies fast when i am having fun. there's nothing to worry back home. no chores, no nothing. the hardest decision i have to make was prolly, what to eat for each meal?! for the past 3.5weeks, i pretty much just eat, eat, eat and grow fat. i've gained 4kg. damn.

argh, i'm so not looking forward to be back in Sydney. i think i only miss my king sized bed there. here hor, single-sized bed with all my pug plushies! no space for me to toss and turn! on my 1st night back here, i was pretty worried that i wld fall off from my bed (upper deck fyi). keke. as clumsy as i am, good thing i didn't. but i did trip/ knock/ bump/ fall numerous times back here. Mr Lee is just waiting for me to break my right leg as well. -_-

other than the fact that i gained so much weight and the horrible weather, this trip back was fantastic. i got to celebrate my birthday with my dearies after so many years! and it's been almost 2 years since i was back. it's nice to meet my family and friends again. eh, but i didn't get to meet up with all though. oh well, next trip then. will be back for my dear Miss Tan, now Mrs Chew's wedding. oh man, have to start sourcing for a bridesmaid outfit. i think the colour theme is baby pink? goodness. hafta wear a pink dress?! gosh. wanna wear pants also er xin. pink top + pink pants?! yikes!

as usual, i overate yesterday. 4 meals again. sigh.. i confirm gained weight already. the skirt which used to be loose, is blardie tight now. -_- i was just wearing it in Sydney last week!

was running some errands in raffles place area. then had lunch with mumsie. we had fish bee hoon soup. aiyoh.. so damn nice!

met Miss Ng in suntec for dins. la mian xiao long bao! la mian was not fantastic, but the xiao long bao is!

and... yakun toast set for supper!

no wonder i am fat now. damn it.


took the train home alone. before i board the train hor, i did CHECK the signboard for the direction i shld be taking. city hall going to kallang was GREEN line ma. and the sign that showed this line was on my left side, so i waited at the platform on my left loh. so happily board the train.

next stop, raffles place. abit confused leh.. i remember after city hall is bugis loh. how come raffles place?! but i was doubting my memory la. so i ignored it.

next stop, tanjong pagar. very confused now. how come ah?!

next stop, outram interchange. -_- confirm wrong already.

wah, i thought such things wld only happen in Sydney where the train lines are super complicated! argh.. i did take the very wrong train when i was in Sydney before. i was alone and had to attend some company event at Olympic park. for some bizarre reason, i ended up at eastwood, which was so so damn wrong! by the time i realised, too late already. i had to take a cab to the venue instead. blardiehell, wasted $40 for cab fare, that's on top of my $20 train ticket!


ohoh, took cab a couple of times since back. i think the cabbie uncles are so funny. talked non-stop one!

.... since friday night actually! it's good to be home, but it feels kinda weird. i need time to get used to it. as usual, the weather is bad. blardie hot i tell u. argh.

anyway, it's only abt 2 days since i touched down, but i have eaten as much as i wld for 4days when i'm in Sydney. ate too much! at this rate hor, i won't be surprise if i were to gain 5kg or more in 1mth.

i'm missing sg food so much that even the laksa at the airport tasted so so so good. hahaha.

yesterday i ate like 4 full meals!
breakfast - 2 mini char siew bao + honey drink
lunch @ my fav vegetarian restaurant in geylang - claypot tofu + sweet & sour pork + cereal prawns + sambal kangkong.
dinner @ dian xiao er - some double boiled soup + cereal prawns (this time the real deal) + herbal roasted duck + veg & mushrooms + seafood fried rice
supper @ yakun - iced milo + 2 eggs + toast with kaya & butter

this is like alot to me ah! damn stuffed.


ohohoh.. i had my utmost fav hor fan for lunch today! damn exciting. keke. i'm gonna have this hor fan as often as i can. so damn nice!

now i'm thinking what to have for dinner. haha.. i'm such a glutton.


oh yah, phantom of the opera was great! totally enjoyed myself. but apparently it was boring to the extend of falling asleep for somebody. -_-

this is it... i will be home in abt 14hrs' time! this is so exciting. :))

another exciting bit of news is.. i finally own a LV Sac Plat!! my very 1st bag off my ultimate wish list! it's flamboyant.. it's loud.. it's screaming LV.. bro condemned it to be an auntie bag.. it's pretty big considering how short i am.. and i have people telling me it looks like a paper bag. but I DON'T CARE! I SIMPLY LOVE IT!

now i need to work towards to having a Chloe Edith and a Miu Miu Bow Satchel. keke.



i'm still in the midst of packing. how can i work with only 23kg baggage limit? by the time i packed all the gifts and such into my luggage, i'm only left with 1/5 of space left for my own stuff. that's 16kg down. -_- doesnt matter, this leaves me with very good reason to shop in Singapore! :))

oh but i am sick. the whole package deal. cough, sore throat, running nose, headache & fever. man this is bad.. but i am not letting this stupid illness dampen my mood! and i think i was too excited this morning that i can't get back to sleep. woke up at 8.30am. that's 2hrs before my alarm was supposed to go off!

ohoh, i have this impression that Singapore changed alot within the last 2years since i was back. sis and my friends have been 'updating' me on places to go and such. many of which i have never ever heard before! not only places to shop and eat, even the mrt tracks have expanded drastically! i was looking at the proposed mrt tracks. goodness loh, many of the mrt stations are within walking distance. no wonder Australians love Singapore's mrt for its accessibility & punctuality. no joke leh, featured on the news here some time last week!

12 more days to be back home!
